Three Wheeled Buggies

New figures show that three-wheeled buggies, that symbol of the noughties that were more expensive than common sense, are in a steep decline. They are being replaced by four-wheelers which can be more versatile in terrain, yet still look stylish and easy to push.

MFM reviewer Kath tried this buggy out with a newborn and 3 wheeler buggies year old and found that it was able to withstand grass, cobbles rough roads, dirt tracks and kerbs. She said that it felt solid to push and extremely solid on rough terrain. Its tyres (which are inflatable and require occasionally pumping) have suspension built-in which was extremely comfortable for my kids.

The shape and size of the seat is another thing to consider. It is important for the seat to be large enough to allow your child to be at ease and to lie down. Some three-wheel buggies offer a lie-flat option that allows the child to face you, whereas others only permit a parent-facing option.

The Roma Atlas is a great option for off-road or wet walks. This buggy is ideal for a single child as early as birth and can be modified to accommodate two children as your family grows. Easy to maneuver

The only drawback to this amazing maneuverability is that the larger wheels of the 3 wheel buggy can sometimes make it difficult to fit into tight spaces. This is something you need to be aware of when you live in an urban area. If this is a concern, a 4-wheel buggy might be a better option for you.
