The Lightest, Most Compact and Easiest to Fold Travel Strollers

It's a bit pricier than other models in this class, but it offers extra features, including a larger parent pocket and cupholder as well as an adjustable handlebar to accommodate parents of all heights, and a comfortable carry strap. Its simplicity may sacrifice some durability when compared to other models in this category, however.

2. Easy to fold

The Munchkin Sparrow, for example is a great fit in the smallest fold, and comes with a handy protective travel cover, but it has no recliner and a tiny cargo space that can only hold a small tote bag or diaper bag (no backpacks).

The Babyzen Yoyo 2 is another alternative. It folds concertina style, but it offers a reversible seat to ride face-to-face or back-to-back. The handle is hidden behind the seat, however our managing editor didn't like the way it folded.

The tri-fold is the most recent stroller that travels. It folds in three parts and offers the most compact combination of size and features. The UPPAbaby Miniu, for example, has a convertible seat, an unstructured rear storage pouch, and a locking clasp that keeps it folded. It's slightly larger than the umbrella models from the brand however it folds more compactly than G-Luxe and G-Link counterparts and has a carry strap with padding that can be slung over your shoulder.

3. Easy to store

The best strollers for travel can fold down to a small size that is easy to store. They can be easily stored in the trunk of a car or the overhead bin of the plane. Some models come with a strap you can use to carry the stroller on your shoulder so your hands don't get exhausted. The Contours Itsy travel stroller is an excellent choice if you want a lightweight, compact stroller. The Contours Itsy comes completely assembled and all you need to do is attach the bumper bar. It comes with a cup holder for the parent as well as a back pocket. However it doesn't have an over-sized basket. This could limit your ability pack essentials for a long journey.

If you're a frequent traveler we recommend that you consider a stroller that is more robust, with better features and the ability to hold more cargo. 4. Comfortable

Also, think about whether your child is at ease in the seat without a car seat.
