iRobot Series Robot Vacuum Cleaners

A robotics company that has been a pioneer in the field for years, iRobot is now focused on home automation that is smart. Their robot vacuum cleaners have pinpoint navigation and dirt detectors.

In the frame-story, there is a story of a woman named Gloria who has a robotic nursemaid named Robbie. Gloria is devastated when her parents take Robbie back to the factory.

Roomba

Roomba is a robot vacuum cleaner that works autonomously. It is designed to clean carpets and bare floors. It maneuvers over furniture and obstacles to thoroughly vacuum the floor. It will also return to its dock and recharges, and can be controlled via a smartphone app or by a remote control.

Most Roomba models come with infrared sensors to detect obstacles. They also have the ability to change direction when they come across an obstacle. The more advanced models can draw an outline of the floor area, and determine the most efficient route to follow. This allows them to clean a larger area in less time than previous models, and increases the efficiency. Certain Roombas are equipped with a squeegee, which can be used to remove large debris like pebbles and crumbs. Some Roombas are equipped with a huge capacity bins that can store more dirt and not need to be emptied.

The iRobot Home App allows you to program cleaning times, select when the robot is due to return, and control other features like adjusting the number of passes. The app also gives you a complete record of each cleaning task, which includes how long the robot took to complete the task and if it encountered an obstacle or cancelled its task. The iRobot app can be connected to other iRobot products, such as Braava M6, which will automatically begin mopping when the Roomba completes vacuuming.

In May, iRobot introduced the S series of Roombas that feature advanced obstacle detection and smart mapping technology that helps them discover the most efficient route through the home. The S9 and S9+ Roombas are the smartest Roombas iRobot have ever made. They offer 40 times more suction as compared to the 600 series and a 30% larger rubber brush for better edge cleaning. They also have the ability to create "Keep Out Zones", which prevent the robot from entering certain areas, like a thicket cords.

The most expensive model is the j9+, which has everything the company offers. The j9+ comes with an auto-emptying base with advanced obstacle detection, as well as automatic updates to iRobot OS. We also noticed that the rounded Scooba could easily get stuck under furniture, which was a pain for us.

It was quick and did a fantastic cleaning job in the rest of our home. It was able to clean the bathroom well and we didn't have to worry about smells that linger. The Scooba is also very loud, and it could be difficult to operate it in a bedroom or living room.

I did notice some gunk stuck in the vacuum holes on the bottom of the Scooba. This can be partially removed by rinsing it off. This is important as the vacuum holes that are blocked can cause the bot to stop functioning.

Braava

The iRobot Braava jet m6 looks simple, but it has many clever engineering that enable mopping and navigation to work well. The compact body, which measures 10 x 10,6 x 3,5 inches and weighs only 4.4 pounds, allows it to navigate through small spaces without damaging furniture. The head of the robot is designed to scrub floors, and its nozzle sprays a moist mop. It vibrates to remove dirt staining and other contaminates.

The robot utilizes the most Advanced iRobot Roomba j7+: Vacuum and Mop Combo vSLAM navigation technology to map your home, avoiding carpets and other obstacles.
