Apple has fixed an issue that was reportedly causing the batteries in iPhones and iPads to drain more quickly than expected.

The issue was reported after users of these devices installed the iOS 15.4 or iPadOS 15.4 updates, which were released earlier this month.

The updates included new features, including 37 new emoji, a 'gender-neutral' voice for Apple's smart assistant, Siri, and the ability to unlock your  while wearing a face mask.

However, several iPhone and users complained that their device's battery life had taken a hit following the update.

Apple has now released iOS 15.4.1 and iPadOS 15.4.1, which according to its release notes, should fix the issue.

It also includes fixes for 'Made for iPhone' hearing devices and Braille devices.
