The Babyzen Yoyo stroller is a great option if you're on a budget and do not need a stroller that can be used as a car seat carrier. It has a simple one-step foot brake that's flip flop comfortable.

It's easy to push, and it is solid when traversing kerbs and woodland trails. It's also easy to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned a name as the most lightweight buggy for city dwellers and jet-setters alike, due to its nimble maneuverability and fold-down that fits into aeroplane overhead luggage. The most recent version features independent suspension on all four wheels that is made of Hytrel elastomer that allows it to perfectly navigate all types of surface and terrain'.

The bent fabric bassinet, base YOYO2 frame and 6+ months colour pack combine to create a sleek pushchair with a delicate elegant design. The frame itself weighs just under a kilo and is so light that you can easily lift it from the box (and do it using one hand).

The hood, for instance is able to snap onto the YOYO2 in a reassuring manner. It is machine washable at 30 degrees, which helps to prevent stains caused by smushed rice cakes and carrot puffs. The Newborn Pack and bassinet can be used from birth as prams. It could also be converted to a stroller by 6 months using the YOYO connect other chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a great choice for parents looking for a versatile stroller wagon. It transforms from a stroller to a wagon by simply flipping the handle, which means parents can pick the option they want to use on their trip. The wagon can hold one or two children from 6 months old to 5 years, and it has a wide storage basket that can accommodate all of your on-the-go needs.

The Xplore also has two canopies that rotate from the front to the back, offering ample sun protection for all family members. It also has a footwell that's not as deep or wide as some wagons, so it may not be ideal for long trips or napping.

The frame of the Xplore feels sturdy and solid but it doesn't have as much flexibility as other wagons we have tested. It is also more difficult to fold than some of the other models and it doesn't close tightly when folded. It is easy to move however, and it is able to fit through narrow 28 inches doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side by Side

This basic double stroller from Delta Children is an excellent option for parents seeking a budget-friendly secondary travel stroller. It scored high in our Strollers & Multiples Test for its weight and folded dimensions. This means it's lightweight, compact when folded, and easy to carry and put in a trunk for your car. It also comes with a multi-position reclining seat and an adult cup holder. Other key features include 360-degree shock-absorbing front wheels, as well as two large hanging storage bags.

In our test of push and turn it performed better than the majority of other cheap single buggy strollers we test, but it's not the most comfortable to maneuver over uneven ground or through narrow doors. The sunshades it has are among the ones we tested the smallest, providing only direct overhead coverage, and no peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have much larger sunshades.

It took us under 3 minutes to put together the Delta using a standard manual. None of the parts required tools. It's missing some features that we consider essential for a double stroller. These include an extra-large basket, reclining seats, and leg rests that can be adjusted.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is the newest version of Maxi-Cosi's pushchair range and is billed as an urban travel system. It is designed to accommodate baby from birth up to approximately 3.5 years old, easily changing between a seat and a carrycot in just a few clicks. It can also be used with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats and comes with the light Mico 30 infant car seat, stay-in-car base and a reversible baby carriage.

The seat can be reclined using one hand and the large shopping basket makes it easy for parents to help their child in and out. Despite this being quite narrow, the pushchair handled the bumps of everyday life well and went through doorways without a hitch.

The front wheels can be locked into a forward position or allow them to rotate which is helpful when traversing rough terrain. We allowed the front wheels to rotate while walking along the stony path. It handled this reasonably well, although it seemed a little bumpier.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is most famous for its 3-wheeled all-terrain strollers for jogging. However, they also produce a wide selection of pushchairs with four wheels. The City Tour 2 is one of their most popular models. It folds easily and fits in the car's boot even with the carrycot attached.

It weighs more than other strollers that we tried, but because it comes with rubber composite wheels it feels sturdy and well-constructed. It is able to maneuver effortlessly across all kinds of terrain, and it's also a breeze to lift, even when loaded with two kids and shopping bags.

Both the seat and the carrycot come with hoods that can be removed to reveal a UV50and sun canopy extensions. They are showerproof and sturdy, unlike some other prams' hoods which get bounced back into toddlers faces.

It's not a lot of storage space, but it comes with a large basket deep enough to hold a changing bag or a large amount of groceries. You can also connect it with the Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a travel system for infants up to 20 pounds (car seat and adapters sold separately). The City Tour 2 is a good choice if you want to take a stroller with you on the go.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

When the Nuna Mixx first rolled onto the scene, it instantly captured the hearts of parents all over the world. It's an aluminum-framed stroller which can be used from the baby's first days to beyond. It's got a few notable features, including the possibility of flipping the seat between parent and world-facing, a huge UPF 50+ canopy with a flip out eyeshade as well as a large basket and adjustable handlebar.

The chassis has a built-in suspension system that reduces the impact of bumpy terrain. The wheels are made of tough foam and reduce punctures. Our tester found it smooth to push and was able to manoeuvre it through narrow streets without difficulty.

It folds in four simple steps and automatically locks with no fuss. It can also be rolled and raised for easier transportation down the stairs or in the car's boot. The travel system comes included with the option of adding an additional car seat or carrycot by using the adaptors included. The brakes are easy to use with single action color coded and flip-flop-friendly.

7. Babyzen Duet

This budget pushchair is simple to use and has a fantastic dual suspension. It can be folded using just one hand, and comes with a handy carrying strap. It's also light and sturdy. The seat can be reclined into many different positions. It also has a double-breathable mattress that is suitable for infants.

The canopy/seat comes with two large fixed or flip-out sun visors and both are UPF50+. However the toggle closure isn't ideal - it's not as silent as Velcro and could wake sleepy babies.

The Duet is a side-by-side stroller and can be configured to take twins or siblings (up to 22kg max per seat). It is compatible with two infant car seats and works with some carrycots. In twin mode, the seats can be facing one another or be turned around to face parents, theoretically decreasing sibling rivalries over who should sit with dad and mom. It has a huge bottle holder, a gear tray, snack trays and an adjustable mat. It also has an automatic frame lock and a superior compact fold.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2

The Thule Urban glide 2 is a great jogger for parents who love to be active. It's one of the lightest running strollers you can get for your child and offers amazing safety features, including a 5-point harness and safety wrist strap. It also features a twist hand brake that's different than the lever type used on rival models.

The seat is well padded and provides a wide area to sit. However, the seat depth is smaller than that of other joggers (it's only about 10") The storage bin is secured with a zipper that keeps things secure. It can hold up to 10lbs that is enough for the majority of diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 isn't compatible with bassinets or infant car seats in the way it is, however you can use it from day one by purchasing adapters for the majority of seats made by brands such as BOB, Graco, Combi, Evenflo, Britax, and UPPAbaby. It folds up compactly and takes 5-10 minutes to assemble without tools. The instruction manual is easy to read and contains a variety of languages.
