Roasting

Lazy Sunday is light roast that is pleasant on the palate. It softens and transforms into a warm hug to your senses. The cocoa influences from Latin America smooth the brew whilst Africa brings citrus hints to bring balance. The result is a coffee which can be enjoyed by itself or with cakes, milk chocolate or other sweets. It is a great match with vanilla cakes with lemon drizzle and lemon sponges.

We recommend using the French Press method to brew this coffee. Heating your vessel by adding water that is just boiling will keep it warm. After making the coffee, let it steep for four minutes. This ensures that all the grounds are fully saturated and not over-extracted. The water is then pushed through the grounds with the plunger. Do not stir or agitate the coffee, as this can result in unpleasant components in your cup.

The cocoa notes can be traced to the days of winter in the living room, reading a good book and an intimate hug from the family. To brew the coffee, first pre heat your French Press with off boil water. This will prevent the coffee from becoming over extracted and causing undesirable elements in the drink. Add your grounds and 250ml water that has just been boiled. For 4 minutes, simmer then plunge and enjoy.
