Which Lightweight Double Pushchair Should You Buy?

It's easy to move around in a light double pushchair, especially if you have kids of different ages. They are generally easy to steer, fold and transport up and down stairs.

Side-by-side pushchairs that are lightweight aren't 100% foolproof, howeverIf your children are at the same age or stage, they might still argue over who is allowed to ride in which seat. If they're at different heights, a tandem style may be ideal for them as it lets them face each other.

Tandem

While side-byside models are better for children with similar age group, tandem light double strollers have their own charms. They can take a bigger car seat, and some come with convertible seats or an additional carrycot in the middle. They are generally more spacious and easier to get in and out of, although their baskets are usually smaller than the ones on single buggies. Tandem pushchairs that are lightweight typically make tighter turns than side-byside models, however they are more challenging to drive over bumps and uneven surfaces. They may also be a little slower to pick up speed and may be heavier to move, which can cause stress on your back.

Another alternative is a convertible double buggy which is initially one-person, but you can add adapters to make it into a double. Convertible
