The Barista Express was able to achieve this, however it took longer than other models we tested.

It comes with a huge water tank that holds 67 tons. It is easy to refill and comes with a built-in water filter that removes impurities and scale to ensure that your coffee tastes fresh. The machine is simple to clean, which is a important feature. It is recommended to remove the machine every three to five months to prevent the buildup of minerals on the internal components.

Like the other Breville machines we've tested, the Barista Express is designed for those who are looking to improve their skills. This means that the machine does not come with some of the more sophisticated features that are available in other Breville models, such as the ability to display the amount of water and pressure is being used, as well as an automatic milk frother. However, this doesn't mean that the Barista Express won't be a ideal choice for those looking to upgrade their espresso machine.
