The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

For pets that shed fur, a robot vacuum/mop combo is among the top floor cleaning options. This machine can mop and vacuum, and can even dry and clean its own dual mop pads.

It also has the highest suction power of any robot we've examined, with 8,800Pa. It also allows you to organize cleaning schedules and save maps of your house from its app.

1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the most recent in the Ecovacs line of robot vacuum mop hybrids. This model is equipped with Ecovacs' new AIVI 3D 2.0 lidar system that provides improved mapping and obstacles avoidance. It uses dual laser LiDAR, similar to that used in self-driving vehicles. It can scan up to 32 feet across by 360 degrees. That translates into more precise mapping, faster response times, as well as better cleaning accuracy.

It also has an alternating mopping mat made of chenille, making it easier to scrub hard spots than conventional mops. In my testing the X2 Omni took just over an hour to clean its pad and begin work, and I noticed it was much more accurate than the previous models, which seemed to follow a grid route around rooms. The Deebot T10 Omni is an excellent robot vacuum and delivers impressive results in our tests on pet hair. It was able to vacuum up more than 96% of the dust we tossed at it on our hardwood flooring and floors, which is a remarkable performance. It did an excellent job on tiles and carpets and removed 99% of dirt.

This robot mop and vacuum has an enormous docking station that provides cool water cleaning for the mop pads, automatic emptying into a 3L bag that's simple to replace, and hot air drying for quick and robotvacuummops easy maintenance. It also has a huge water tank that allows for more frequent rinses and dries between mopping runs.

As with other mopping robots, the Deebot T10 Omni has a wash tray in its base that rinses and dry its mop pads when it uses them. But it doesn't use a removable tray, which means dirty water, dust and other grime slowly accumulates in the bottom of the tray over time.

3. RoboVac X8 Hybrid

This is the first mopping model from Anker, which is known for its robot vacuums. It has enhanced intelligence with multiple map support, LIDAR scanning and twin-turbine technology that automatically adjusts to the surface you are cleaning. It's a tempting mid-range robot vacuum cleaner however it doesn't meet its promise of being a one-stop shop for floor cleaning.

The X8 Hybrid appears to be an ordinary OKP 3800Pa Robotic Vacuum Cleaner with Laser Navigation cleaner from the top. It has a circular shape with sweeper wheels and an elevated sensor. Turn it upside down, however you'll see a motorised floor brush plus one side sweeper brush which pushes dirt from the edges into the main pathway of the robot's mouth. It's smaller than the main brushes of the iRobot Roomba S9 which I found made it easier to reach under couches and chairs.

Its mapping system allows you to define no-mop areas as well as specific cleaning zones. However, it has a tendency to get into things (including its own charging dock) and isn't the best robot vacuum for dog hair in climbing over rug. It's a bit chatty, and will tell you what it's planning to do next ("start cleaning") or warn you that something is wrong (it does not have enough power to charge, for example).

This advanced model collects pet hair, kibble, and other debris with top-notch effectiveness and effortlessly moves around furniture legs. It comes with a feature set that is impressive, including two cleaning modes as well as an automatic docking station, and real-time obstacles avoidance technology. The device that is Wi-Fi-connected can be operated via the Neato App where cleaning schedules are set and maintenance requirements are tracked. The A4s Pro is a bit expensive however it's a great buy for people who want to be able to leave the house without hands so that they can get out and do other things or do chores. The A4s Pro also offers a handy auto cleaning mode that automatically increases suction power to deal with difficult spills and dirt, and includes a battery-powered ElectroWall that lets you place boundaries where the robot is not allowed to be allowed to enter.

This budget-friendly robot from a popular new brand is the cheapest we've ever tested and offers incredible value for the money. The basic navigation system employs an extremely basic random pathing algorithm, but it doesn't have room mapping capabilities, which makes it less efficient than other models on this list. However it's still able reach under furniture and in corners and its mopping mode performed well in our testing, picking up stray pet hair and other debris with ease.

5. Shark iQ

Shark's iQ isn't quite as well-built as the Roomba S9, but it is superior in general at getting rid of pet hair from all surfaces. It is more effective of cleaning carpets with low piles as well as floors that are not covered. It also utilizes smart-pathing navigational software for greater mobility. It also lets you send it to a specific room, and its advanced suite of automation features include no-go zones as well as scheduling. It can even stop and restart the cleaning process and is perfect for homes with pets.

Its self-cleaning brushroll helps prevent knots from pet hair and other debris, and its self-emptying bagless dock station can hold up to 30 days worth of dirt before needing to be cleaned. You can control it using your voice with an Amazon Alexa device or Google Assistant device. If you don't own either of these devices you can mark the boundaries of your area with physical boundary lines.

The iQ does a decent job of clearing bare floors and doing a fair job with shaggy and low-pile carpet however, it doesn't have the same level of autonomy as our top selections. It's also expensive, and its recurring costs can add up over time.
