The Babyzen Yoyo stroller is a good option if you are on a budget and don't need a stroller that can be used as car seat carriers. It features a flip-flop-friendly one-step footbrake.

It's also a breeze to push and feels sturdy in navigating kerbs or woodland paths. Plus, it's a dream to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned a reputation as the ultimate stroller that is lightweight, suitable for city dwellers as jet-setters. This is due to its extremely nimble handling and fold-down design that can be incorporated into the overhead baggage of an aircraft. The latest version has independent suspension on all four wheels made of Hytrel elastomer. This allows it to effortlessly traverse all types and terrains'.

The curved fabric bassinet, base YOYO2 frame and 6+ months colour pack combine to create a stylish pushchair with a delicate, elegant aesthetic. The base frame weighs less than a kilogram and is so light that it is able to be lifted from the box with just one hand.

The hood, for example, snaps on the YOYO2 in a calm manner. It's also machine washable at 30deg which helps avoid the stains that result from smushed carrot puffs and rice cakes. It can be used as a pram from birth using the Newborn Pack or bassinet, or converted into stroller at 6 months by clicking on the YOYO Connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

Evenflo Pivot Xplore stroller wagon is a great option for parents seeking an adaptable stroller. The Evenflo Pivot can be converted from a stroller to the wagon by turning the handle. Parents can then select which one is the best single pushchair fit for their adventure. The wagon can be used by one or two kids from 6 months up to 5 years, and it has a wide storage basket that can accommodate everything you require on the go.

The Xplore also features dual canopies that turn from front to back, providing ample sun protection for all family members. It also has a footwell, which is not as deep or large as other wagons, so it might not be comfortable for long-distance trips or napping.

The frame of the Xplore feels solid and sturdy, although it does not have as much flex as some of the other wagons we have tested. It is also more difficult to fold than some of the competitors and does not close tightly when folded. It is easy to maneuver however, and can fit through narrow 28-inch doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great option for parents who are seeking a second stroller that's affordable. It earned an eye-catching score in our Strollers & Multiples test for weight and folded size, which means it's very light, compact when folded and easy to move into a car trunk or closet. It also has an adjustable recline seat that can be adjusted in multiple positions and cup holders for the parent. Other key features include two large hanging storage bags as well as 360-degree front wheels that absorb shock.

In our test of the push and turn, it did better than the majority of other strollers of a similar price we tested, but it's still not the most comfortable to maneuver on uneven terrain or through narrow doors. The sunshades on it were among the smallest strollers we tested. They only cover the top, and don't have windows that peek out. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have much larger canopies.

The Delta took us just over three minutes to put together with an average manual and no components required tools. It's missing certain features we consider essential in double strollers. They include a large basket, reclining seats, and adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi's newest pushchair, and is advertised as an urban travel system. It is designed to carry baby from birth up to around 3.5 years old, easily changing into a seat and carrycot by just a few clicks. It is compatible with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats. It comes with a lightweight Mico 30 infant seat, a stay-in car-base and a reversible car seat.

It's a breeze to maneuver, and the one-hand reclining of the seat as well as the huge shopping basket make it simple for parents to get their child out and in quickly. Despite being narrow, the pushchair handled the everyday bumps well and went through doorways without any fuss.

The front wheels can be locked in a forward position or allow them to swivel which can be helpful when crossing rough terrain. We allowed the front wheels to rotate while walking along the stony path. It handled this reasonably well, though it did seem to be a bit more bumpy.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is famous for their three-wheeled, all-terrain Jogging pushchairs, however they also offer a great range of 4-wheeler strollers. City Tour 2 is their most popular model. It is easy to fold and fits easily in the boot of a car even with a carrycot attached.

It is a bit heavier than other strollers that we test, however the wheels are made of rubber composite so it feels well-made and durable. It's a breeze to maneuver across all kinds of terrain, and it's easy to move even with two kids and a shopping bag.

The seat and carrycot both come with hoods with pull-down sun canopy extensions that are UV50+. They are sturdy and waterproof, in contrast to other hoods for prams, which can be blown back onto toddlers faces.

It's not a lot of storage space, but it does have an ample basket that is deep enough to hold a change bag or plenty of groceries. You can also use it with a Baby Jogger car seat for infants up 20 lbs (car seat and adapters are sold separately). If you need a stroller that can be taken on the road, then the City Tour 2 is an excellent option.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

Nuna Mixx was an infant stroller that captivated the hearts of a large number of parents when it first came out. It's an aluminum-framed stroller which can be used from baby's first days to beyond. It comes with a variety of stand-out features including the possibility of flipping the seat between parent and world-facing, a large UPF 50+ canopy, a flip out eyeshade, a spacious basket and adjustable handlebar.

The chassis is equipped with an integrated suspension system that helps reduce the impact of bumpy terrain. The wheels are constructed of tough foam, which reduces punctures. It was simple to push and our tester was able manoeuvre the vehicle through tight streets.

It folds down in four easy steps and automatically locks without fuss. It can also be folded and stood up for easier transport down the stairs or in the car's boot. It also comes equipped with the ability to add a car seat or carrycot using the adaptors that come with it. The brakes are one action and are color coded. They also are compatible with flip-flops.

7. Babyzen Duet

This budget-friendly pushchair is simple to use and has a great dual suspension. It folds with one hand and comes with a convenient carrying strap. It's also super lightweight and sturdy. The seat can be reclined into many different positions. It also comes with a double breathable mattress built in that is suitable for babies.

The canopy/seat comes with two big sun visors that are either fixed or flipped out. Both are UPF50+. The toggle closure isn't ideal as it’s not as quiet as Velcro and could awaken napping babies.

The Duet is a stroller with an angled design that can be used for twins or siblings. (Up to 22kg per seat). It's compatible with two infant car seats and even can be used with carrycots. In twin-mode, the seats can face one another or be turned around to face parents, theoretically decreasing sibling fights over who should sit with mom and dad. It has a huge bottle holder, gear tray, snack trays and an adjustable mat. It also has an automated frame lock and a superior compact fold.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2

The Thule Urban glide 2 is the perfect jogger for parents that like to be active. It's among the lightest strollers for running that you can purchase for your child. It also comes with excellent safety features, including a 5-point safety harness as well as a wrist safety straps. It also comes with a twist hand brake that's different from the lever type used on rival models.

The seat is comfortable and has plenty of room to sit in, but the depth of the seat is lower than other joggers we've tested (it's approximately 10"). The storage bin is secured with a zipper to keep things safe. It can hold up to 10 pounds. This is enough for the majority of diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 isn't compatible with infant car seats or bassinets as it comes, but you can use it right from the start by purchasing adapters for most seats by brands like BOB, Graco, Combi, Evenflo, Britax, and UPPAbaby. It is easy to fold and assemble within 5-10 minutes, without tools. The user manual is easy to read and comes in a variety of languages.
